The wide array of services San Bernardino County provides to its residents are possible because of the partnerships the county forms with countless vendors. Many of those vendors are local businesses that thrive because of their relationship with the county.
In September, the County Purchasing Department conduced the “World of Opportunities” Reverse Vendor Show at San Bernardino International Airport, successfully connecting 105 county employees from 35 county departments with more than 156 local vendors, showcasing a diverse range of products and services sought by county departments to meet the county’s operational needs.
The show gave vendors an opportunity to meet face-to-face with county departments and learn what the county’s needs are and how vendors can fulfill them.
Doing business with the county can be complex because of the various rules and procedures in place to ensure tax dollars are spent fairly and wisely. The County Purchasing Department is dedicated to helping vendors navigate the process.
