Many of San Bernardino County’s marquee achievements have been public-private partnerships negotiated by county Real Estate Services Director Terry Thompson and his team. That’s what led American Builders Quarterly to profile Thompson earlier this month.
The article in the prestigious national industry publication takes a look at Thompson’s journey from UCLA to the private-sector real estate industry and eventually to his leadership position with San Bernardino County. It also chronicles how Thompson’s experience in both the private and public sectors inspired him to work with the Board of Supervisors and his Real Estate Services team to partner with private-sector companies to create innovative projects that serve the public, including:
- Southern California’s first Topgolf sports entertainment center in Ontario.
- A much-needed administration building for the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District.
- A new county Head Start preschool campus on Waterman Avenue in San Bernardino through a partnership with a charter school, replacing an outdated and insufficient preschool site.
Read about Thompson and what he and his team have accomplished for San Bernardino in American Builders Quarterly.
